England won the test & ODI series quite easily against the visiting Indian side but the challange will be much more serious for the English team to play in the 5 match ODI series against India in India.
Harbhajan Singh is involved in yet another interesting news, this time by being dropped from the ODI series ( for first 2 ODIs ). Selectors preferred to take a look at young Rahul Sharma from Punjab insteas of Amit Mishra or Harbhajan Singh. Another interesting selection is S Aravind from Karnataka ahead of fit Ashish Nehra. Nehra would have been better in the absence of experienced Zaheer Khan. Exclusion of Varun Aaron also does not make sense as the young lad was not given a single game in the ODI series and this would have been a good chance for him to show his talent in the absense of other righties like Ishant Sharma & Munaf Patel.
Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, Munaf Patel and Ishant Sharma were not picked due to injuries.
England will play a 5 match ODI series in India starting from 14th October.
Team for first 2 ODIs : MS Dhoni (c ) & ( + ), Gautam Gambhir, Parthiv Patel, Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Varun Aaron, Umesh Yadav, Vinay Kumar, S Aravind, Rahul Sharma, Manoj Tiwary, Praveen Kumar.
