Irfan Pathan has been rewarded for his fine performance in domestic season with a birth for last 2 ODIs against West Indies while Abhimanyu Mithun has been named as the replacement for Praveen Kumar for the Australian series.
People were eager to know who gets the nod for the much awaited tour or Australia. Abhimanyu Mithun, Irfan Pathan, Vinay Kumar and even Ashok Dinda were the contenders for a birth but Mithun gets it on the basis of potential. Many of the Indian cricket fans wanted Irfan in the Indian team to play in the Australia showed their frustration on various social networking sites like Facebook, Orkut.
